Could someone tell me where Network Manager saves it's settings?

I don't use due to the network setup I have but looking at the contents of the rpm It has a few files in /etc/dbus-1/system.d and maybe in /etc/syctl.conf. All I see without actually running it. Read the startup script in /etc/init.d and found bits and pieces.

Network Manager saves its configuration files to the gconf-editor
/system/networking/wireless/networks

gconf is a configuration system and gconf-editor a program to change them, somewhat like regedit on Windows.

You'll need to install the gconf-editor package, then run the command.

Hi,

I've looked at the two conf files mentioned at the top but they don't seem to do what I would like and I've installed gconf-editor but under /system I do not have /networks.

I'm trying to find some info that would enable to me get Network Manager to connect to my wireless internet connection whilst I have a wired connection to another machine (effectively just a file server). Do you know if this is even possible?

Thanks,

James
