FC6 Broken VTY Consoles

I am running FC6 on my new Fujitsu Laptop (LifeBook 4210). I am getting through some of the troubles with my install and have acutally redone the install a couple of times to see if I messed up something that causes this problem. When I am inside Xwindows (Gnome or KDE) and try to access my VTY terminals using the F1-F6 commands I get all kinds of text scrolling by and can't get it to stop. I can F7 back into Xwindows with no problem and my sessions run just fine. I am just annoyed that I can't use my terminals. One other minor thing is that sometimes (I can't replicate it all the time) it doesn't do it until AFTER I log into my Xwindows sessions.

Anyone else have this problem and can shed some light?

Thanks everyone. I doscovered it was mapped to my smart card reader. Once I stopped the SC Daemon all was well.
