Hi,

I am in the process of setting up an NTP server under version 6.10. I have asked the Firewall admin to cut holes for it to get out. Where I am stuck how to get Windows servers to properly query it. I already experimented by changing the time on one W2K3 box and then querying the NTP server via the command:

w32tm /config /manualpeerlist:IPADDRESS /syncfromflags:manual

but the time does not update. Any assistance is appreciated.

I think something changed in WinXP. A year ago or so I could sync my WinXP boxes
to my FC5 based NTP server. Now the WinXP boxes always give errors. I don't get it.
I have run tcpdump on the server and it indicates that no packets are getting to my
server. On the WinXP boxes, I'm using the desktop clock "internet -> update" option.

I noticed in the FC6 install a warning that if there are other os's on same machine to not allow fc to set hardware clock... because windoze does some sort of overide?
