now i'm probably gonna get lynched for this so bring it on if you must.

I had a situation with my new fc install and i'm a first time user. i've been using suse full time since may 2006 and have previously had spells with zipslack and slackware back in 2001 and suse 8.2 personal when it was released.

My issue was i have no viable method to hook up my router with a good old fashioned cable. it's just too far and i'm 3 storey's higher than the router. Plus i have a desktop, not a laptop and moving it was also out of the question. So as the more experienced user's on these boards will guess i had a bit of a nightmare getting ndiswrapper installed.

The how to already present was useless to me as it requires you to have a wried ethernet connection.

thanks to GreyWizzard for starting this off and everyone who helped out is credited in the file. i hope everyone appreciates the angle i'm coming from here and the hell it was to get fc to comply with my request.

Feel free to post amendments and i will add the ones that are appropriate. credit will be given were it is due.

any way here it is, enjoy, and i hope it helps atleast one person.

**EDIT**

added link to script.

just a bump so everyone knows that it's been updated. i am considering converting it to html and improving the formatting but i need to have the time first.

I'm surprised i haven't had any response's yet considering at least 60 ppl have viewed this thread. nice to know you guys are a talkative bunch :)

1. add links to the prerequisites.
2. bullet or number the steps in a more orderly fashion.
