When you say wireless network have you samba set up and running on your FC box? You should be able to set the samba conf file to allow printer sharing using cups.

I set up samba using this thread:
http://forum.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=94257&highlight=samba
Still cant figure out what to do in xp to use this printer. I try "add printer" and searched, I tried using the url given for my linux printer in the "printing configuration" within linux. ????? I assume samba is configured correctly, I just dont know what to do next?? I need help before my wife throws her laptop at me
Thank you.

Have you installed the printer drivers on the windows box

I finally see the printer in windows. when it asked for a driver, it didnt list my epson stylus rx500 as an option, so I installed from my driver disk. Now windows says linuxhost permission denied. Dont know if the problem is related or not. I did set accounts and passwords as the thread above stated. In fact that is how I had to log in to see the printer. But permission is denied. ??? Getting closer people, thank you, you may just save my neck yet!

Just something stupid if you have everything set up have you checked your firewall settings. To get my wireless network running I had to install firestarter using yum and set up ip addressess, services and ports to get everything running smoothly the firewall that comes with FC6 seemed to be causing me all sorts of problems especially when I wished to share internet connection. I only post this as an idea. You can check the samba conf file if you are worried it can be found in /etc/samba but you will need to read samba help as it is likely that you may have many commented out settings if you are using the samba conf that comes with the program . There is a very useful howto that gives practical network samba confs for different network types I got this off the samba website "samba 3- by example". Hope that your wife misses you but if its a usb printer why not just connect it to the laptop when neede till you sort this out. Might save a bruise or two.

Im sure the problem is in my samba configuration, i just cant figure it out. Winxp sees the printer and when I click on it is says I dont have access. Not quite ready to give up, but close. Does anybody have a sample samba conf with the settings I am looking for? Linux is my desktop, has the printer attached to it, and winxp is on my laptop connected wirelessly. Thank you.
