oki data c5500n

HI,
has anyone been able to setup an okidata c5500n laser printer in fedora core 6, yet?
my printer is connected on the network through a wireless router.
I contacted okidata for a linux driver and this was their answer :

Unfortunately, since it is an GDI printer, that means it will only work
within Windows, and higher versions of MAC OS X. There are no other plans
for the other systems at all. I am sorry for any inconvenience.
