Hi;
I can't get my video capture card to work in Fedora Core 6.
I have gotten myself thoroughly confused. Does it use v4l2 and bttv
drivers?
'lspci' returns "Multimedia controller: ATI Technologies Inc Unknown
device 4d52". The unknown device is a TV Wonder 550 PCI that has been installed and works properly in WindowsXP.
'lsmod' returns no bttv or bt878 drivers.
As far as I can tell, from the ATI site and the tvtimes site, it should
be using the bttv driver, but this is not entirely clear to me from
their documentation. From what I have read, it could use the cx88.
Some people have suggested it uses the same drivers as ATI TV Wonder VE.
Is This true?
GATOS is not applicable.
Can someone tell me how to get this TV Tuner card installed and working
in Fedora Core 6 that has an ATI Radeon 9600 video card?
Do I have to modprobe something? What?
Of course the more help the better, but even a suggestion of how to get
started and some confirmation of which is the appropriate driver(s),
would be an enormous help.
Or if the right drivers are available how do I get my machine to
recognize the installed card?
Is the HOWTO bttv in TLDP still relevent?
