No sound under FC6

I run FC6 on a Fujitso-Siemens Amilo 1425
All but sound is fine. I played with all knobs availabe but no luck.
lspci gives me:

You say you tried all the switches, did you try the external amplifier (on)?

i am having exactly the same problem with my asus m3000n. it has the exact same sound card and exact same drivers but just will not work...

lspci gives this for sound: 00:1f.1 IDE interface: Intel Corporation 82801DBM (ICH4-M) IDE Controller (rev 03)

this is pretty annoying as sound worked fine in FC5..

anyone got any clues??
