thanks to TransGaming's Cedega compatibility software, to play World of Warcraft, Battlefield 2, Civilization IV, Counter-Strike and more... And just for your own pleasure, FlatOut, the Destruction Derby successor has been integrated!

Man! Has anyone tried http://www.transgaming.com/ on Fedore 6?

Cedega works on all distros. Just don't forget that most games you get to work with Wine (which is free) as well.

So you rather go trough the pain to install completely new distro rather than signup on Cedega and install it on your current distro?

Well, whatever floats your boat.

Tony, I'm beginning to think you're getting to like Mandriva, despite your comments on Gael Duval, one of it's originators. I've got it on one of my partitions and agree that it's a decent new user distro, although I think there are better ones out there. Lots of graphical goodness and a handy control panel, but a bit cumbersome on the updates with all those sections. Well, glad you've got 3D graphics going and Cedega is working - sounds like gaming's important for you. Nice that you can enjoy it easily on linux - so many get discouraged with the effort.

Not a big gamer here but if all a person cares about playing a Windows game on Linux and paying for it well then go for it. I was just being a bit sarcastic and am not about to dump Fedora and jump on Mandriva's bandwagon although I did have Mandrake 9.2 installed for a wee bit.

But to get Mandriva with Cedega, you need to be a silvermember of their Club (cost money). So it would just be better to pay and download the .rpm package directly from Transgaming.
