View Full Version : clamAV in fc5 - no clamd.conf !

hi

i want to use clamav to periodically (cron) scan files on my fc5 samba fileserver which serves a winxp LAN

64 bit fc5 and clamAV 88.7-1.fc5

i've installed clam from yumex: clamav, -lib, -data, -update, -server (probably don't need that last one)

i've edited freshclam.conf so # freshclam command updates the signature database OK

but, for whatever reason there is no clamd.conf anywhere i can find on the system - not in /etc or anywhere under /usr

:confused:

where do i go from here ?

Should be in /etc/clamd.conf

If not here is the text that you can edit to meet your specifications

Hello, I've a FC6 with 2.6.19-1.2895.fc6 SMP kernel and I want to run AVG realtime protection which depends on dazuko.
But when I execute
./configure --enable-syscalls --mapfile=/boot/System.map-`uname -r` --sct-readonly
on the latest dazuko source I get:
local __d_path() = yes (WARNING: dangerous for SMP kernels, see README.linux26)

I read about this and it seems I've to make some changes on the kernel and compile it again.
But I've some problems:
1. The kernel patch refers to a file that does not exist in the kernel source 'dcache.c', where is this file?
2. Compiling the kernel is never a solution for me. I can compile lots of modules which I dont mind, but the kernel.... naaaaaaaa not on my laptop. Do they also change the engine of their car everytime they install new seat covers? Its already an extra job for me everytime I update the kernel I have to compile some modules again but I would compile the kernel on a server where I would never do updates once I find it stable. It's my policy.

Is there a way or a patch to solve this error? Or a SMP version of dazuko?
