Hi,
I have an Acer Travelmate laptop which is over a year and a half old now. The information panel of the battery icon states the capacity as 51% even though the battery is fully charged. What does this indicate?

I have the feeling it may be related to the DSDT. Check this post for info on that.

Also could be a not fully compliant ACPI. Some laptop makers take shortcuts so they write custom drivers for Windows to get around thier shortcut hacks.
Check this site and check for your laptop or simliar ones. http://www.linux-laptop.net/

Hi Brian,
I'm sorry for the late reply. I guess I didn't make myself clear in the earlier post. Actually, FC6 correctly reports battery time and charge remaining. I am attaching a screenshot,

Notice the capacity of the battery. It dropped to 45% from 51%.
