[install] - HELP PLEASE

i got this TV-Tuner & i want to be able to watch my satellite channel throu the RF input
the TV-Tuner i got is the TwinHan TV-Plus ==> http://www.twinhandtv.com/twinhandtv/product_analog_1.asp.htm

as u see in the map i connected the RF line in the Antenna/Cable slot & i tested it on a normal TV & i scanned for the channel & i found it

but on the TV programs it does a country channels scan i just want it to do a scan on all signals till it can view my satellite channel

p.s i got a satelitte card before but it didnt show the channels i pay for it so i got this one so it just copies the channel i have on my satellite not all channels so most programs are giving me a hardtime

Does your satellite cable go directly from the Antenna (outside your house I presume) to your computer? Or does it first go through a decoder/box of some sort?

yes it comes through the house decoder

My bet is that it leaves the decoder through one of a RF or S-Video out jack. I am also guessing that the other end of this cable is the same, ie RF or S-Video on either side. If that is the case, then you should not be putting the end into the antenna slot in your TV card but through the RF or S-Video in jack. From what you have said you are possible using RF out on the decoder and should be putting it into the Composite Video-in.

Once done, you will then need to tell your TV software to look for the feed from the composite source rather than than the antenna.

well its 30meter away from my satellite so i guess RF input will do cos thats the wire i got atm also i tested it on tv & it worked fine so it should be workin fine on FC6 too

btw i tested it on windows & it was auto channel scan so it got the channel but i need another program so i can edit the signal anyways thats not our thing here

i tried tvtime & it didnt get it so what else i can use on FC6 to scan for the channel ?
