I'm dual-booting FC5 and WinXP Pro using GRUB on a Toshiba A75 Satellite. My hardware specs are:

Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHz
512 MB RAM
ATI Radeon 9000 video

Partitions are roughly as followed:

hda1: 35 G - Windows XP
hda2: 100 M - GRUB
hda3: 37 G - extended
-hda5: 35 G - main Linux
-hda6: 2 G - LinuxSWAP
hda4: 4 G - fileswapping

My problem is the following: when my computer is idle for too long, it freezes partially. The screensaver will deactivate, but when I type in my password to unlock it, the "checking password" message displays indefinitely. Similarly, when my computer is hibernating (after I close the cover) and I try to reactivate it, it hangs on a blank screen. I turned off the automatic hibernating function under Fedora to try and address the first issue, but it didn't get rid of the problem.

Any ideas on what this might be, or how I might find that out?

Thanks a ton in advance!
