Hi - I can't use hdparm -d1 flag, it gives operation not permitted.
Even stranger, I have 3x SATA drives on my Gigabyte 965P mobo. Two are running through the intel controller and one through the gigabyte controller. The HDD on the gigabyte controller comes up as sda and screams. But the two attached to 'IDE' ??? are very slow, which is why I need to turn on DMA!!!
