lincity not starting

hello i am new to fedora. I installed Lincity via yum. The program is installed but it will not open. if you click on it the screen goes black for a second and bounces bake to the desk top. also a game called gl-117 does the same thing.

Any solutions. i am a sim city fan and i want to give this one a try

considering gl-117 aint working it's possible you don't have 3D acceleration enabled for your video card

try the following in a console

glxinfo|grep direct

and see what you get.

[root@localhost ~]# glxinfo|grep direct
libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x4b
direct rendering: Yes
[root@localhost ~]#

this is what it sent back, no support. How do i set up support?
my card is a radeon GA-1.07m. i have never had a problem with it using windows games. so i am sure it is capible of supporting 3d
