I've just installed FC6 but when i boot up all i get is a blank screen and a message telling me analogue 14/15 out of range. I can't see anything let alone log in the monitor is a Xerox XM series 19 inch wide screen. My graphics card was recognised and is a Geforce 7300gt.
Previously i ran into many problems with a standard 15inch monitor whilst running FC5 which i was never able to totally solve.
Please help i had high hopes for FC6 but this is a less than perfect start

This is a new install on a pc that i recently built so i haven't used linux for a while and am a little rusty to say the least. I'll need walkin thru this.
after rebooting the pc and selecting FC6 from GRUB it boots and then blanks out how do i make any changes to the moitor settings at this point ??

ctrl+alt+F6 to get terminal

login root and type

nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf and comment out (#) the vert and horiz lines and let it auto detect.

save and reboot

Cannot login as root cuz all i'm displayed is a blank screen with the box "analog RGB 15khz/14hz out of range" no amount of key tapping brings up anything visible on the screen' How would i go about changing the display options during boot up cuz as soon as it boots i'm blind.

ok use install disk

type in linux rescue
mount sysimage writeable then you can

nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf and comment out (#) the vert and horiz lines and let it auto detect. and check driver "vesa" may be better

Tried your idea but nothing.
Either it didn't work or i did it wrong. Give me exact instructions on what to type and when and i'll let you know how it goes.
nothing seems to work so far tho.
