View Full Version : python bluetooth code not running in Fedora Core 5

Hi everybody
I m doing a project "Bluetooth chatting software" on linux(FC5). i have installed pybluez library and try to run a simple "bluetooth device search program" in python but.........it gives an error ....."No bluetooth module found". i cant understand this problem ....so plz help.

Well... I'll ask the obvious question... does your computer have bluetooth? ;)

Actually I have bluetooth dongle, I m working on a project that is pc to pc chat server using bluetooth.
for that purpose, whenever i run a program for searching neighbour bluetooth devices, then it gives an error....
like "no bluetooth module is found"
so, to solve this problem what i should do ????
Please Help...........................................

Well, I think it's looking for a bluetooth kernel module. I don't know if Fedora comes with a kernel compiled with bluetooth. Maybe someone can answer that. But, if that is in fact the problem, then you will need to recompile your kernel with Bluetooth support.
