Hey.

I successfully installed sauerbraten on my computer, but I can't seem to get the game to start. When I start the game in a window so that I can watch the terminal to see what is happening, the game loads successfully. However, the graphics never appear after the game loads and X locks up.

The weird thing is that I seem to be able to run other 3D games without any problem, like Nexuiz and ppracer. I have an Intel motherboard with the G965 chipset. Does anyone have any idea what this problem can be??

Thanks.

I think there could be a problem with fullscreen try to start the game with the option -t which is windowed.

./sauerbraten_unix -t

Does Cube run okay? On FC-5 and some other distros, Cube started and ran flawlessly, but it's big brother Sauerbraten would only run on some maps and crash on others. Funny thing is that when I upgraded to FC-6 and Ubuntu Edgy, with the same machine, Sauerbraten runs perfectly. BTW, I'm running an Asus K8-MX motherboard with 512 meg. ram and old Nvidia Geforce4 MX-420 graphics card.

I havn't tested Cube but I think the problem has something to do with NVidia and lates (later) kernels for FC6 I can't run Powermanga, Nexius, Tremulous either and the are fullscreen.

I had it running fine - updated to the latest nvidia beta driver to check out the desktop effects and it crashes x whenever I tried to launch it.
