Hi !

Can you help me.........I tried to install nvidia drivers.......this way.........I downloaded kmod-nvidia-1.0.8776-1.2.6.18_1.2798.fc6.i686.rpm
xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-1.0.9629-1.lvn6.i386.rpm
and than went to command line..........and did rpm -ivh........and use packages name...........but I get this error....

error: Failed dependencies:
kernel-i686 = 2.6.18-1.2798.fc6 is needed by kmod-nvidia-1.0.9629-1.2.6.18_1.2798.fc6.i686

but this is what I get when I enter this command UNAME -RM

uname -rm
2.6.18-1.2798.fc6 i686
so what is the problem.............

should I let yum to install dependencis..........even so that I have the same kernel.........

Yes let yum install the dependancies its a bug it installed the i586 instead of 686 even though its listed like that.

To elaborate

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=211941

Thats the bug and on the front page of livna it explains how to fix it.
