VNC Not Sending Screen Updates

I've installed FC 6 and applied all the current software updates. I have also
enabled remote desktop viewing.

When I connect (with either realvnc or tightvnc), I can see the initial screen.
However, i never see any screen updates. That being said, every keystroke
and mouse click is sent to the server and processed (I have verified this by
using my laptop to connect, and watching the console on the linux box).

I can't see anything in any logs about problems sending the updates.
(FYI: I've disabled firewall and SE capabilities).

Anyone else had similar problems?

This worked just fine in FC5.

never mind. I turned off the desktop effects, and it now sends updates. That should be documented somewhere when you enable remote desktop, that desktop effects should be disabled.
