I have an older mac powerbook g3 -500mhz 30GB HDD 256mb ram- and i tried to install linux on the system, and allow room to reinstall OS9 on the system so i could have both of them in there. The problem is that after i tried to resize the drive in the partition settings during setup -which was my first time in trying to edit a linux partition- i entered the install phase and i got an error and had to shut down, now when i go to try and set it up again, when i get back to the partitioning setup it gives me an error. I tried booting from the mac OS0 disc and it doesnt seem that it recognizes the drive as a mountable volume. the error message i get when i try and partition is:
File "/usr/lib/anaconda/patredUtils.py", line 140, in get_partitio_file_system_type ( )
elif (part.get_flag(parted.PARTITION_BOOT) == 1 and
AttributeError: 'Nonetype' object has no attribute 'name'
any thoughts, idead, solutions? im very lost....tell me if you need more information as well id be glad to provide it,
