Hi there,
I've installed cedega and now I want to install starcraft but I don't know how. How should I run the setup?
EDIT:I fogot on system tests-> copy protection this error occur
A problem was detected with your CD/DVD-ROM devices. Some or all copy protected games
may not work correctly with your drives. Check the permissions on your CD/DVD-ROM device (in /dev). The device can be found in the /etc/fstab file.

In a terminal perform:

ls -la /dev/CDROM (where CDROM is the device for your system)

Make sure that all users have rx permissions. If users do not have rx permissions then add the permissions by running

The device may be a symbolic link to a second device, for example:

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3 Mar 23 05:50 /dev/cdrom -> hdc

Here we can see that /dev/cdrom is a link to /dev/hdc. Be sure to check permissions on the symbolically linked devices as well.

Or you can type in a shell:

cedega /media/STARCRAFT/Setup.exe

Or you can within your filemanager (konqueror or Nautilus) browse to the Starcraft CD directory in /media/ and then right click the Setup.exe or Install.exe files and select Cedega from the menu.

you may have success copying the disk to your hard drive then instaling from there

I once actually had success with such games by making an ISO image, then mounting that image into /mnt/cdrom on the loopback device, worked rather well (and without the annoying speed down/up inherent to multispeed CD drives, in other words, all modern drives)

What version of Cedega are you using?

I know when FC5 first came out there was a problem with the copyright test which was resolved by either a work around or, eventually, by a change to cedega by transgaming.

there is a post on transgaming.org in the Fedora section on how to fix this problem if you are using an older version of Cedega but if you can I'd advise upgrade to the latest version.
