GRUB won't load after Installing FC5

I recently Installed FC5 on my second hard drive, and GRUB is not loading properly. hda is Windows XP, and hdb is FC5. I did not want to mess with MBR on hda, so I installed GRUB on hdb. When I want to boot into Linux, I change my boot order to boot from hdb instead of hda. When the machine tries to load GRUB, the word "GRUB" is displayed, and nothing else happens. What am I doing wrong?

Okay, but you probably didn't install it on the mbr on hdb? Since you mentioned not wanting to mess with the mbr on hda, try this tutorial: http://www.fedorajim.homelinux.com/
