My machine is a stock PowerMac G4 w/ dual 1.42gz procs, ATI radeon video, and 1 gb ram. The FC6 installer cd-rom boots, presents me with the loader, and once I hit enter or select Linux, it appears that the machine crashes as the kernel is initializing itself. All I see are the beginning of kernel initialization (white on black text) and then in a blink of an eye the screen goes black and the machine locks hard. I don't have enough time to record what's printed, but it does not particularly look like a stack dump.
This happens with the DVD iso image, disk-1 CD image, and the 'emergency' iso.
I've been using Gentoo/Ubuntu with great success on the same machine and look forward to trying out Fedora Core. Any tips/suggestions would be appreciated!
