I have a laptop I run FC5 on for my eMail, word processing, and other mundain important stuff.
I have an AMD 64 x2 system that I run for CoD2 almost exclusivly, some surfing and such.
I want to get of billware (xp 64) as my gaming platform.

Has anyone run FC5 with Wine and run CoD2?

Sure, lot of us have, just not on the same machine at the same time. ;)
Two products come to mind, crossover office and another one called cedega.
Not sure if either one supports COD2, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
Sadly, COD is the only reason I still have a Windows partition on one other machine.

That's what I thought DX, I didn't think DX could be wrapped.
I guess it will be Vista 64 come March... :(

Wine and Cedega transform DX instructions into OpenGL... unfortuanetly, CoD2 doesnt work under Wine(and i doubt cedega) though CoD works perfectly ;) Alot of other games also works quite nicely under Wine/Cedega... By March 2007 i think alot more games will :)
