Cant Recognize HD On Install

hi
i am very very new to this linux thing. i have a PC running XP on SCSI HD. i have 3 HD on the SCSI chain
1 - 8 gig with Win XP
2 - 70 gig with a 40 gig partition running Win XP and a 30 gig Partition formatted NTFS with files, etc on it
3 - 4 gig formatted NTFS waiting to install fedora
problem is when i boot to the CD and run through the setup screens and reach the partition (formatting) screen fedora only recognizes the 2 XP drives and NOT the empty drive i want to install onto? can anybody help in english (not computer talk) i would really like to get this installed and do a little exploring. thanks in advence

If you go through the install, you can press Ctrl-Alt-F1 or Ctrl-Alt-F2 etc which will give you a shell prompt. You can run "dmesg" and fdisk and see what Fedora messages are.

Also by scroll through these screens, you will get information as to what might be causing the error.

Is this the problem with drives being ignored by anaconda?

i dont know alot about this but yes it seems that anaconda is not recognizing the drive i want to install onto. it is only recognizing the 2 drives that are already loaded with XP?
any tips? suggestions?

Can Fedora even recognize a NTFS partition? I seen to remember that you could only gain read only access to a NTFS Partition. Might have to re-partition it. Here is a good link explaining Linux and NTFS Here (http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/info/ntfs.html#3.1) . Hope this helps.

well now i have a new problem. i wiped the disk clean and unpartitioned it. then tried to run installation again which appeared to go well but just as it was loading anaconda i get a message that the installation terminated early and it just goes to a prompt that says it is safe to reboot now. so basically i cant even run the installation now. again any help is appreciated
