Gamers for Linux petition

I came across this petition and encourage all gamers and Linux users to sign it. Maybe with enough support we can change the minds of game developers to include native Linux support for games. Even if you are not a gamer, keep in mind that support for commercial games in Linux is a big barrier for adoption by many users. Your support is also welcome.

I've signed. Doesn't seem to be picking up much steam... Maybe advertising this on a higher traffic forum (linuxquestions.org (www.linuxquestions.org)) or Linux gaming website (linux-gamers.net (www.linux-gamers.net), happypenguin.org (www.happypenguin.org)) could do it more justice?

Powereds, I checked the top 10 distros on distrowatch and posted it in the relevant forums for those distros. It looks like since I started posting on forums 4 days ago, about 100 people have signed it. Again, if anyone wants to copy and paste the original post and post to other forums, feel free to do so. You can also email the message to people who may not frequent forums and encourage them to forward it to others.

Ok I visited the page. I saw no info whatsoever on who's doing this and why and how it will be used or change anything. All the links are pointing to the same page and results are just a list of people. Kinda wondered if it's just something to collect e-mail addresses...

Honestly, I was just looking for some way to show developers that Linux gamers want games ported to Linux. I happened to find this petition. If there are other petitions with more details like what you have mentioned (who is doing it, how it will be used, etc.), I am all for supporting them. Anyone who knows of other, possibly more transparent, petitions can post a link to them here.

EA/DICE hear me roar. - I bought you game on Xbox 360. I would gladly play it on pc in linux. windows. not so much cause I already bought that version. OH LOOK EA. I buy multiple versions of platforms of games. why not linux too?
