Well, so I wanted to play this incredible game again, and decided to install it. It all was just fine, until I launched the game and it ran... well, sort of. So it happens that the game starts, I see the Edios Interactive banner fly by, soon followed by the Ion Storm "green ball". However as soon as the DE logo should kick in, I get a Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error and that the application exited unexpectedly. I assumed this was caused by a problem with regards of msvcrt*.dll, however upon finding such files on another Windows machine, so it happens that the error was still present. I installed on WinXP and it ran just fine, without the error.

So basically my inquiry is if anyone else has seen this happen? I am using Wine 0.9.20. By the way, Cedega 5.2.5 CAN'T run the game  A bunch of messages on the console, that I don't even care to ennumerate.

I think it may be worth mentionning (dunno if it has anything to do with the "problem") that I'm running on x86_64 Fedora Core 5 (ATM).

I just want to mention that the game DOES run, just it crashes in the initial "movie" and if you don't start a game before the DE logo appears (otherwise an error concerning Visual C++ appears or a texturing log problem is seen). It may be worth mentionning too that this happens after installing the patch. I may try to install again and not install the patch this time and see how it goes.
