I just upgraded from FC3 to 5. It looks like FC5 does not reconize my floppy, drivers look to be there and when I do a restart the floppy does its thing, recycles, tried to read etc., but no floppy icon. There is no floppy icon in 'MY COMPUTER", just cdrom, cd-rw, file system and network. Any ideas.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I've encountered this as well. I have sort of worked around it by adding the following to the /etc/fstab.
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,owner,kudzu 0 0
As it isn't set to automount, I issue "mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy", when I need the floppy drive.

This has been discussed and a fix has been offered. Search through the forum for 'floppy' or similar to find it.

Hammer wish you could tell us where you found fix. I have this problem where I try to write something to a floppy in Linux and it says "malformed URL" anybody know anything about that?
