I went out and paid $20 for Neverwinter Nights Diamond version and installed on my FC5. I'm impressed with the performance and visuals, and it's nice to see such a quality game run nativily on linux without any problems. Worth every penny.

The movies were never that great anyway. Mostly just narrative with a slideshow.
Has that been confirmed then? No linux client for NwN2? I know there was a petition thread on the Atari forums for alternate OS support.

i think it was confirmed... and considering NWN2 uses Directx9 i'd call it a certainty...

We can always hope for Cedega<sp?> to support it. Its one of the few things standing between me and saying goodbye to Windows at the moment.

It's probably because the developers are too stupid to use OpenGL. There is nothing wrong with OpenGL, just as capable as anything else.
I just hope that Windows dies and they are all forced to get slapped in the face by the fact that they should have supported Linux earlier. Not just game developers, but other companies, like Adobe.

Give it time. Linux is still a relativly small fish in the domestic OS world. Things are getting better. Nvidia and ATI are both supporting Linux now. Flash and realplayer are available for Linux too, so the rest of the world is beginning to take notice. As support for the required hardware gets better, more companies will spot an untapped market and pounce on it.
