I have to admit that I'm sick of the failed attempts to get my Encore Wireless LAN PC Card working with ndiswrapper and all...does anyone have any suggestions for a wireless card that can be autodetected in FC5? I'd like to keep the cost as low as possible (duh :P) but I'd rather spring for something that can be autodetected and have little pain in installing. :) Thanks!

Anything with an Atheros chip is ok. Check atheros.com for wifi cards with atheros chips. Only thing you have to do is yum madwifi.

madwifi is dependent on kernel version so if you like to update fequently, then you can find that you have installed a new kernel and are waiting for a day or so for madwifi to be updated.
there are some cards like the Cisco 350 pci which work with the current kernel. however, they are only 802.11b and very expensive new unless you pick them up on ebay 2nd hand cheaply. they are worth the extra though.

Yeah, that's the only problem - I don't want to be downloading madwifi or any other addon (ndiswrapper, for example). I just want a nice, easy autodetect...like when I put my 3Com 10/100 in and it just worked from the get-go. I've been hearing nice things about the Cisco Aironet, like you said, though.
