This is not a problem as such, but it IS getting rather annoying...
So it happens that whenever I use my joystick (WingMan Runble Pad) to play some games, mainly when running PCSX or ePSXe tu run my old PSone games (with added goodies), the input system freaks out... Well not that bad, but this always happens:
As soon as I finish playing a game and close any of the emulators (xmame, PCSX, ePSXe, gnuboy, etc), the "repetition ratio" on the keyboard dies... For lack of a better term. Basically what happens is that once I finish playing, if I want to type something, and that requires a lot spaces (for example), I will have to press repetitively the space bar, instead of keeping it depressed to drive the cursor where I need/want it, this always happens whenever I used the Gamepad and it is getting kind of irritating.
I'm not sure if this is due to SDL_input or what, but man! IS it annoying or what?
I just needed to vent this out... Maybe this has nothing to do with the actual joystick or the code to support it, but rather the way in which the plugins to interface with the joystick work on these programs...
By the way, does anybody know of any plugin for the most popular N64/PSone emulators that will actually support rumble? That's the only thing missing on the Linux emulators from the Windows® ones... And it is not responsibility of the emulator, as such, but rather the input plugin... I have not been able to find any information on any plugins or even if there is code to support this (I know at kernel level forcefeedback and vibration controls are supported, though)
