As a root:
`yum remove [package_name]` where the name of package is e.g. epiphany
To see the package do `yum search [package_name]` replace the [package_name] with your program's name.
Alternatively use `rpm -e [package_name]`, again replacing [package_name] with program's name (e.g. package was mozilla.1.23.435.rpm, you'd use 'mozilla' as package name)

As he said, thilina is new to Linux, so instead of just blowing his question off, maybe you could try to help him a little bit. Responses like that contribute to the feeling that linux newbies often get where they think that Linux users don't help them, therefore, they should just stick to the easy way and use Windows.
thilina: Yumex should be able to do it. It usually does whatever the yum command can do, but with a GUI like Windows' Add and Remove Programs app. To install it, just type "yum install yumex" in a terminal after becoming root with the "su -" command. Yumex will then be available under Applications -> System Tools -> Yum Extender.
Hope that helps. :D

I suspect he's hoping you'll try out the forum "search" option, where the answer to your question has been discussed a gazillion times already...

Those instructions should get MP3 support in XMMS for you. ;)

In the yum command it gives you, the "xmms-mp3" package is listed. Since you already have xmms installed, you need to go root and run the following:
yum install xmms-mp3
xmms-mp3 is the MP3 codec plugin for xmms. After it is downloaded, just restart xmms and open a MP3 file. :D

Follow the directions in the Yum section of the Stanton Guide I gave you the link to. You might need Livna set up to install the xmms-mp3 plugin.

What help do you need to click 'Applications' menu on your desktop toolbar and click 'Add/Remove Software' entry? If you can't be bothered to look at what's in your menus, why should I bother to spoonfeed you the solution?

Go to the Stanton Guide that I gave you the link for, scroll to the top where it lists the sections, click the Yum link and follow the directions in that section. Livna is a software repository that has various applications not found in Core or Extras. The xmms-mp3 plugin should be in the Livna repo.
But, I'm afraid I will have to agree with pete here... these issues are all over the forum. You could have found them in less time than it took me to write up these instructions. Also, if you don't quite understand the concept of a yum repo or software installation on Linux, you really should be reading a book about Linux commands or something. There are various Linux guides around the internet, even some that relate to Fedora. I think you are expecting Fedora to just do everything and have everything that you need. But you shouldn't be worried about installing a mp3 codec if you can't operate Fedora's software installer on your own.
