Guys I am a serious Sim Racing fan. Infact I admin (been on vacation for a long time) at one of the biggest SimRacing sites around.

Only problem is that Linux has very few Racing Sims.. and very few with the quality level of Windows games.

I know the developers of Live For Speed www.liveforspeed.net which IMHO is the best of the best. I have not yet convinced them to make a Linux version.

I do not belive they realize the market share they are missing out on.
My question to all of you... in this Opensource enviornment, would you be willing to pay for a Great Racing Sim?

Racing Sims for Linux that I am aware of...
TORCS, Driver, and VDRIFT. Motorsport is on the horizon.. but still aways away.
Am I missing any?

I remember playing a limited version of liveforspeed last year during LinuxWorld where a racing tournament held.
I don't mind paying for a Racing Sim. I think making a crossplatform version would be a good idea.

live for speed works fine under wine..

havent been bothered to organise the forcefeed back moduls required for my Momo Racing wheel, but all in all performs well.

torcs is quite a poor excuse for a driving sim next to live for speed. Its an arcade smash em up.
