I will be on my fc5 and see shared folders from my winxp home version.
There is a folder that I get an error from the winxp box.

[root@localhost samba]# smbclient //serv_name/problem_folder -Umyid
Password:
Domain=[serv_name] OS=[Windows 5.1] Server=[Windows 2000 LAN Manager]
smb: \> ls
NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED listing \*

57231 blocks of size 1048576. 24038 blocks available

I do not have this is issue on the other winxp folders.
The problem_folder is shared just the same as the otheres on the winxp box.
Any help would be nice, I'll keep looking in the fourms as well.

What version of samba-comon and samba-client are you using?
The latest is 3.0.23-2 and it has some fixes concerning Lan Manager issues. (in that it hs been updated to more current MS networking and 2003.

Also, check the complete path (top level dirs) for correct access.

found that you can not share on winxp home version the folders, 'Document and Settings', or other users document folders, even if user has admin rights.
Any way resolved......
