Hi,

I have FC5 installed on a little PC system (Asus P2B-D motherboard, two 500MHz Pentium III processors, Matrox MGA G400 graphics adapter, 1GB Registered ECC RAM, two 6GB IDE HDDs in RAID). The latest updates are installed and I'm using the mga open source driver with no particular option in my xorg.conf file. glxinfo reports that direct rendering is enabled, glxgears gives ~395 fps, but real OpenGL applications are unusable. For example, Quake 2 gives less than 0.3 fps. Is there something to take care of, or is DRI broken (performance-wise) on the mga driver? I also tried to enable AGP Fast Write, but the mga driver displays a message in Xorg.0.log saying that AGP Fast Write has been disabled. Is AGP Fast Write not supported with the mga driver?

Thanks.

Running "man mga" shows all the options supported by the mga driver. It doesn't appear to support AGP fast write.
