Only Unique Users Be Counted for Views

Can I suggest that you change the code of the site so that each unique user only gets counted once in the views portion of the thread display. It'd give us a much better idea of the unique traffic going on in the site. Just a thought. It's probably controllable thru the database update scripts on the thread_display.php .

It depends though, I might look at the same thread 3 or 4 times. With each look, being a valid visit. Should all of those views just be counted as one?

okay, then maybe each view by a repeat viewer in which they post a reply should be counted. That wouldn't be too hard to manage either.

nice idea, but they are called "Views" not Uniueq Visit, so i think it serves it purposes

It's good to air suggestions, but we do have to consider them.

I don't think we'll implement this one, but it wasn't a bad idea.
