Hi folks! I've been trying to get this Dell AIO 944 going in Fedora with no luck! Fedora will recognize it as "Dell AIO 944" at lp0 but that's about it.
So, I've decided to just eBay it to a Windows user and buy a great all-in-one for Linux.
LinuxPrinting suggests HP but has anyone had really good luck with a particular inkjet printer in Fedora?
I'm hoping to get scan, document/photo printing capabilities.
Thanks!

HP works great for me for years. I have used Photsmart P1100 which is just a printer. Old HP OfficeJet 1150c, and all in one worked great. But for today I have a HP Photosmart 3310 all in one. Connected either as USB, Currently as a Network printer, or used it as Bluettoth as well. I used the HPLIP drivers from HP. It supports printing, scanning, and now fax. There is one called HPIJS or something like that. It is just the driver for printing only. Get HPLIP and it installs the gui tool to view printer ink level, scan, fax, setup the printer. The other ones 3110 and 3210 will work great as well. Even the Officejet 7000 series are great as well. The only thing I would like to have with the HP 3310 is the dual side printer adapter. I can then print to both sides. A standard in older photosmart P1000 and Offcijet 7000. Just not standard in in the 3000 series. An extra. Other than that the viveo inks are great. Long lasting and so far the ink carditages are still working. Not like in the Officejet 1150c I had.

I have a Brother MFC420CN that is working well for me. Brother has drivers for all of the functions. I haven't tried sending a FAX with it, but I have been using it with XSANE for scanning and with the LPD/LPR driver and the CUPS wrapper file for printing.
I have my desktop computer hooked to it through the USB cable. I also have configured my laptop to print to it through the network (built-in network capable). That has a tricky setup, but Brother's FAQ even told me how to get it to work with SELINUX in enforcing mode.
HP has the longer history of Linux support, but I have been quite pleased with this Brother. On top of that, it has been on sale locally for not much more than $100.00, and it uses separate ink tanks for the CMYK, so I only have to replace the color that is empty.
An added bonus for me is the memory card slots. They just work for me with FC5. I didn't need to install anything or tweak anything to get them to work. :)
Regards,
Stephen
