I have a Dell latitude C400 with the Intel i810/i830 chipset. It supports spanning the desktop across the LCD and an external in windows. Anyone know if it works in Linux too?

I installed FC2 on my IBM Thinkpad X30, it also use the 830 chipset. I tried Xinerama, but no success. I will post my xorg.conf when I am back home.

The Windows driver for these chips can do that easily, I wonder if there is a way to use the Windows driver in Linux just like ndiswrapper for wireless lan.
