hi,
i've just finished a fresh FC4 install (custom). the system is booting up with no support for the Intel D945GCZ m/b onboard ethernet controller that i have. i can't imagine linux not having a generic onboard ethernet driver. anyone have experience resolving this issue or finding a driver that works? intel's website is a nightmare.

Try the last kernel version from www.kernel.org

FC4 is not the newest realese. FC5 is the one

yeah, but it's a brand new install. i'm sure fc4 has support for various intel x86 platforms without having to download the latest kernel.... i don't even notice the bootup process probing for the ethernet controller, which is strange.
