Raid 1 with IDE

I have a silly question or perhaps just confirmation before I try this. Can I do RAID 1 Mirroring with IDE drives? Most recommend SCSI.

Yes, you certainly can.

Most of the time SCSI is recommended because RAID is something that businesses willl use on servers. Most of these servers have SCSI drives.

I am using RAID1 with IDE drives myself and for low throughput home usage....they work just fine.
