I do not wish to use more than 1 cd when setting up a simple linux server with no gui

Any ideas how to do this now with FC5 ?
FC4 had a minimal install option that allowed you to use only 1 cd

selecting core check box still ask for a 2nd CD
Even tried unselecting all boxes and still ask fro 2nd cd
Thanks

I do not want all that extra stuff we never use on our servers.

No direct way. You'll have to go into Custom and uncheck almost everything. Even then, be prepared to remove a few programs after installation. Not sure why this option was removed, but comments and concerns can be given to the developers here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Communicate

I was pretty disappointed with needing all 4 disks to do a minimal install after unchecking everything from the custom. My thoughts were "Why the F*** am I loading Disk 4 so it can install Bluez libs for a minimal system?!?"

I'd like to see it come back, it's nice being able to install a nice concise OS from a single disk like you could with Core 4.

And again, please voice your concerns to the Developers site so they can be heard. The don't monitor the Forum.

hehe, i was similarly concerned with why they removed the "install everything" option.

This one I can see why. Installing everything is more hassle than many people think, especially in regards to updates.

I'm hoping for smaller Core period, not just for minimal install. 5 CDs is an awesome amount of free software but it's a bit much.
