You don't say what you want to do, but in the meantime you should find these links useful:

Other than that, learning by doing is always best. Play with the installation until you get comfortable with it, and if you have a specific question post it on this forum.

For general purpose stuff, I would suggest buying a book. There is a lot to learn with Linux...expecially when you are new to it. The Fedora Core Bible Series by Christopher Negus has always been poplular and frequently recommended.
Also, this forum will teach you a lot. For example, several of us were all typing responses at the same time and we wll mentioned some of the same things :)

I used the Stanton Finley guide for FC4 and am now using it for the FC5.
I think they are superb - very clear and detailed. The best I have tried so far. My current FC4 installation has been the most reliable and consistent I have achieved.
