hi, Im having trouble installing the ati drivers

my graphics card is x800 XL( pci-e )

I ran the installer provided by ati, and it installed fine apparantly, and left a shortcut in my menu etc

so I thought i would check it out, i clickt he shortcut and an error message pops up saying

"Driver does not provide the FireGL X11 extensions! Panel components will operate only partially"

so i click ok....

Theres only one tab called "Information"

and in there ive got :

OpenGL:
Vendor: unavailable
Renderer: unavalaible
Version: unavailable

Obviously there is somthing wrong, but i cant figure it out, ive googled for installation techniques etc, but cant find anything

can you help me?

thanks in advance.

I havent a clue what your problem is.... what architecture are you using?

I would suggest looking at this posting:

http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=104918

And if it doesnt answer your query, post it in there.

We should probably have 1 thread for all ATI problems for the moment until these new drivers sort themselves out.
