Monitor is out of wack during install

I am trying to install FC5 on a G3 and the monitor is unreadable and all funky once i get into the install screens

try installing with video=vga or vesa to see if it will take it.

I apologize, but I went back and read the installation notes and that was not a valid option, you may have to do a text install. http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/fedora-install-guide-en/fc5/ch-beginninginstallation.html

no that didn't work either, you can't even read teh text after a certain point

try typing this

linux video=ofonly resolution=1024x768 and give that a shot and see what happens, I had the same problem and that solved it for me. Let me know... Good Luck!
