I installed Fedora5 and have setup iptables to MASQ to a machine (XP) in my LAN . In that machine I can browse for Urls which are not secure (i.e http) but am not able to browse https Urls. (tested with Netscape - Firefox , other browsers)
I am using same iptables rules used for the previous release installed (ie.Fedora 2). I disabled SELINUX and installation Iptables.
I also tested connecting directly XP machine (not thru Fedora) and I am able to see https. I checked configuration of TCP/IP here and its the same.

This sounds more like a iptables problem, could you
iptables --list and display the results, edit your IP address out if it appears...
or provide a copy of your firewall script.
