No X Server, no gnome/kde, no startup scripts work.

No, seriousy, thanks for the heads up.

For those who somehow have missed: The only supported way of upgrading is using the installer, anaconda, and it's only supported from one stable to another stable release. Unless you can handle a little trouble, stick to the supported methods (and the defaults).
