Wireless Networking 101 Inquiries

Hello everyone, my name is Mark McLaughlin, I'm a Writer who uses a MAC Mini and a DELL INSPIRON 8600 laptop pc. My MAC was setup with Verizon Online DSL, I was using Windows XP but I dumped it for Fedora Core 5, after FC5 was installed, it did not recognize the IPW2100 mini-PCI "Centrino" adapter. I can not use my laptop until the wireless adapter is recognized, please help me with this dilemma. Thank you in advance and please e-mail me with a good solution..... :)

Do some searching on NDISWrapper, this is what you are going to need (as well as the Windows drivers) to get your wireless card working.

You should find plenty of posts on this subject here.

Don't bother with ndiswrapper. Insatll this repository (http://rpm.livna.org/configuration.html) and run yum install ipw2100-firmware
