Pointer problem

Hi, I just finished installing Fedora 5 and I am having problems with the pointer of my mouse: there isn't one! The mouse works but I have to make clicks by trial and error which makes working very unpleasant, I tried changing the pointers and the wallpaper just in case but didn't work...

any suggestions?
