Hi All,

I have a Radeon 9600 AGP graphics card, running on fc5 with the 2.6.16-1.2080 kernel and I get these results from:

glxinfo:
direct rendering: No

glxgears:
1399 frames in 5.3 seconds = 262.831 FPS
912 frames in 5.1 seconds = 179.890 FPS
1254 frames in 5.7 seconds = 219.194 FPS
1254 frames in 5.1 seconds = 245.620 FPS

and in the x.org log it fails to load "drm" module.

so it is not so good.

What I would like to know is it possible to run, accelerated graphics at a good speed on the "radeon" xorg driver.

I do not want to in stall proprietary driver, I wat to stick with this x.org driver, but can it be done?

thanks

The radeon driver supports OpenGL hardware acceleration for Radeon 9250 or earlier cards. If you want to stick with the existing driver, you must downgrade your graphics card.
